People from every
walk of life. We serve those who want something more than just any job. We serve
those who completed years of professional training, and who find that their work
is unsatisfying. We serve those who took a break from the work force, and who
need help with a re-entry plan. We serve those who want guidance in choosing a
college major. We serve those who want a meaningful focus for their retirement
years. We serve all who long for meaningful work, and who are ready to make that

How does career coaching work?
A
typical career coaching process will take six to eight meetings. There is written
homework between appointments. This homework keeps you focused and guides you
in exploring who you are. It is a rich resource for you and your counselor to
use in identifying your strengths, interests, values, and priorities. Homework
may also include research to better acquaint yourself with the wide world of careers.
The Strong Interest Inventory is normally a part of
your career coaching process. The Strong is a highly regarded tool in the field
of career guidance. Some call it the Cadillac of career interest instruments.
Our expanded version of the Strong generates many interesting pages on careers
which can match well with who you are and what you enjoy.
Your
career coach will be an experienced counselor who can help if you encounter any
obstacles to successfully completing your career planning process. If you have
difficulty with decision-making or confidence or procrastination or simply with
finding time to make it happen, your career coach can help.
As
needed, we can also provide effective support for implementing your career plan
and accomplishing your career goals in a timely manner. We are available all along
the way!
How do we begin?
We
begin by scheduling your complimentary appointment. In that fifty minute meeting,
we discuss your educational and work background, your career ideas, dreams, and
goals. We explain how we work with our clients, and we discuss how we can help
you.
